STEM students’ field trip- learning about the freshwater animals surround the Chesapeake bay and rivers along the potomac in Alexandria, VA.

Our first GEM STEM programs began in the Summer of 2017. During that time our student learned about the environment and how to save the bay be protecting our natural habitats in the ocean and on land. We took a field trip where students got to explore marine biology and also learned how to recycle and keep our environment safe from toxic waste and they even got to play with the freshwater fish and sea animals! The students enjoyed themselves and learned about our ecosystem, freshwater animals and natural ways of protecting our environment by recycling and being good citizen to our earth. The students, thanked the Chesapeake wildlife for the excellent tour of the freshwater animals in the Potomac and surrounding rivers in Alexandria, VA.
